In Terrace,BC

Rainy today but was warm and sunny yesterday. Of course I didn't take pictures yesterday of the wonderful surroundings that our Host and Hostess have as their home.We had a lovely time in Smithers, our hosts were most generous and made us feel so welcome . They didn't let us lift a finger to look after ourselves. They have two amazing Dachshound "teenagers" I call them that as that was how they behaved! They were very entertaining to watch as they were constantly running around with the same toy in both their mouths!  There also three horses and a bunch of chickens. When we arrived there were two cats but they took an old crippled one to the vet for it's last journey.

We're in Smithers!

Arrived here at 5pm. Staying at the Hudson Bay Lodge right at the edge of the city. Just finished a wonderful salmon dinner and 1/2 litre good wine Our potential hosts were not  returning to Smithers until 9pm tonight so we took a room. Much nicer than last nights' fiasco!It was a motel in Prince George and was a noisy, dirty place with amazingly hard beds!
The scenery as we moved toward Smithers has been beautiful and awe inspiring. Poor Hubby is desperately seeking the much advertised Moose but nothing so far. Lots of warning signs for them but have only seen various deer and a grouse family crossing the road causing us to swerve to avoid them.

Leaving Edmonton.

We will be heading toward BC tomorrow. We'll be sad to leave as we have had a wonderful rest full time here. Good family times, good food and excellent Tequila tonight. We have shopped, shoes,GPS for the truck,clothes and an iron!!!Found out our fence is finished back home.
